Travis Kvapil — The former truck champ saw little seat time in 2009. He competed in just five races for Doug Yates at the start of the season and then found himself on an unsolicited 26-race sabbatical. Enter Front Row Motorsports. Although Kvapil failed to qualify the No. 37 FRM Dodge at Charlotte, he started and parked at Martinsville the following week. Kvapil, 33, is expected to turn the No. 37 car into a full-time ride as Stremme's teammate next season.

This is according to fox sports

http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar/story/10328660/Latest-prospects-for-NASCAR's-displaced-drivers is the article.  It looks like speculation on the writers part.  I hope its true, and that it would be as something not start and park like they did for most of this year.

Also in the article it has Stemme going to Rusty's busch team.

As long as it is not a start and park cool can't wait to see him on the track. They will also let people donate money for sponsorship so we may be able to help TK on the track.

Well time will tell. I was at Martinsville and I got the feeling that Travis would drive more races for them at some point. (On the scanner) The crew chief made the statement to Travis " When we do this for real we will do it right". Travis had asked about where he was to line up at on a restart and the crew chief did not know. The crew chief apologized and said when we do this for real we will do it right.

We all know how this works, teams may want a certain driver, and drivers are maneuvering to get with any team. All bets are off when a "better" driver suddenly becomes available, better meaning has a sponsor. A start and park is better than what Travis had this year (Nothing) let's hope if this is true a sponsor develops. If not we need to hope the team can repeat what the 71 did for David Gilliland, exposure, exposure, exposure! Go Travis!

PS if RPM drops the #28 wonder if Front Row could pick it up for Travis???

Larry I am with you on that! But if the 28 is cut loose it will wind up on a non Ford, the Ford teams are set for 2010... 6, 9, 16, 17, 19, 21, 43, 98, 99. if any Ford team changed numbers in 2010 it could be the 98 but I would think RPM would go to the 44 before the 28. If the 28 must be on a non Ford I want TK to drive it!

RIP Yates Racing

RIP the 28

       Great news for Travis.
He'll no doubt outperform in what figures to be underfunded equipment, and hopefully a sponsor will take notice and become a partner with FRMS that will allow them to race rather than s&p.
In any event it puts him on the racetrack and makes him relevent again.

AND MINE TOO but my wish is slightly different -----THE #28 on a FORD/YATES CAR.  IT WOULD NOT SURPRISE ME TO SEE DOUG RETURN AS OWNER OF A   NASCAR TEAM..  He is still a young man..

Jayski's post today said that they've talked to Travis, but they don't know who the drivers are going to be yet.  They want to remain loyal to the drivers they've used, and Andretti and Rains are the two they've used most.  I'm still hoping that the merger goes through, and John Menard cancels the contract on Paul.  That would open up a spot for Travis with RPM and maybe see him back in the 28 where he belongs.  I personally think he did a VERY good job in that ride, and with what he had to work with in 2008, to move up as high as 15th in points, and be spoken of as a dark horse for the chase before the bad luck showed up, is quite impressive.  Quite worthy of mention alongside Dale and Davey.
